Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking an Assistant Director - Entertainment Production Engineering to join the resort’s Performance Lake team.

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Assist in planning and executing daily show operations including lighting, sound, water effects, pyrotechnics, and automation systems.
• Coordinate rehearsals, cue programming, and show run‑throughs with technical and creative teams.
• Monitor performance quality and troubleshoot technical issues in real‑time.
• Support the integration of new show elements and seasonal programming updates.
• Collaborate with AV, rigging, and control systems teams to ensure all equipment is maintained and show‑ready.
• Review and update SOPs for lake‑based entertainment systems and backstage operations.
• Ensure synchronization of multimedia elements including projection, robotics, and special effects.
• Enforce safety protocols for aerial systems, water‑based effects, and pyrotechnics.
• Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments in coordination with Facilities and Safety teams.
• Maintain documentation for compliance with UAE regulations and Wynn standards.
• Supervise technicians and operators during setup, rehearsals, and live performances.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff and new hires.
• Schedule shifts and manage rosters to meet operational demands.
• Assist in budgeting, procurement, and inventory management for production equipment.
• Prepare reports on show performance, technical incidents, and maintenance logs.
• Liaise with external vendors and production partners as needed.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Theatre, Entertainment Engineering, or related field is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in live entertainment production, preferably in aquatic or multimedia shows.
• Proficiency in control systems, lighting consoles, and AV technologies.
• Familiarity with rigging, automation, and water‑based effects.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Calm under pressure and responsive to live show dynamics.
• Detail‑oriented with a passion for technical excellence.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work across departments.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
