The Assistant Procurement Manager supports the procurement team in sourcing goods and services managing supplier relationships ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining cost efficiency. This role contributes to optimizing purchasing operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:Assist in planning and executing procurement strategies based on business needs
Source evaluate and negotiate with vendors to ensure quality and cost-effective supplies
Support vendor management activities including performance evaluation and contract management
Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions
Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely procurement of goods
Collaborate with internal departments to understand material and service requirements
Ensure compliance with procurement policies procedures and legal requirements
Assist in resolving supplier issues delivery delays and payment discrepancies
Maintain accurate procurement records reports and documentation
Support audits cost analyses and budget preparation activities
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or related field
24 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles
Knowledge of sourcing strategies supply chain principles and vendor negotiations
Proficiency in procurement or ERP software (e.g. SAP Oracle Coupa)
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with international procurement and import/export regulations (if applicable)
Strong problem-solving mindset
Adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
