A luxury hospitality venue in Dubai is seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to oversee daily operations and lead a team of technical staff. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in hotel engineering, with a strong focus on plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC maintenance. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety standards, providing technical guidance, and enhancing guest satisfaction through proactive service. A collaborative mindset and leadership skills are essential for this role.
The incumbent in this position is responsible to function as primary support to Director of Engineering including activities in department budgets, capital expenditures, room’s preventative maintenance and energy conservation.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role in a 5-star hotel. Good command of the English language is a must. Technical Skills: Plumbing : Advanced skills in plumbing systems and various welding types (arc, TIG, MIG). Electrical : Strong knowledge of hotel electrical systems, troubleshooting, and repairs. HVAC and Air Conditioning : Expertise in maintaining and repairing air conditioning and ventilation systems. Mechanical : Proficient in maintaining mechanical equipment, pumps, and motors. Rooms and Public areas planning and maintenance. Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for technical issues in hotel facilities. Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively supervise and provide technical guidance to team members. Leadership : Proven leadership and team management skills. Ability to motivate and train staff to perform to the highest standards. Health and Safety : In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to hotel maintenance. Attention to Detail : High attention to detail, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed to the highest standards. Guest-Oriented : A strong focus on delivering outstanding service and ensuring guest satisfaction. Team Player : Works well in a collaborative environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work culture. Proactive : Takes initiative in identifying potential issues and resolving them before they impact guest experience.
