A luxury hotel chain in Ajman is seeking a Cluster Assistant Learning & Development Manager. This role focuses on shaping the learning journey, leading comprehensive training programas, and managing development needs. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Hospitality or Human Resources and a minimum of 2 years in Learning & Development, preferably in a luxury brand. Strong coaching and communication skills are essential, along with fluency in English.

Overview

Fairmont Ajman is a beachfront 5-star hotel situated in Ajman, 30 minutes away from Dubai. Featuring 252 guest rooms and suites with views of the Arabian Gulf, Fairmont Ajman offers exceptional cultural, leisure and dining experiences with world-class service.

As the Cluster Assistant Learning & Development Manager, you will play a vital role in shaping the learning journey of all colleagues across Fairmont Ajman and Fairmont Fujairah. This hands-on role manages all aspects of the learning cycle — delivering engaging training programs, maintaining accurate training records, and collaborating with leaders to identify development needs across both properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive Learning and Development strategies, programs, and initiatives aligned with the hotel's business objectives and employee development needs.
  • Facilitate a world-class onboarding experience for new colleagues, including a seamless orientation and departmental integration.
  • Design and deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and seminars on topics such as customer service excellence, leadership development, technical skills, and compliance training.
  • Collaborate with department heads and team leaders to identify learning needs, assess performance gaps, and develop targeted training solutions.
  • Participate in creating an environment of engaged leaders by being an active member of the leadership team. Build strong relationships across the business to support coaching and guidance for both leader and colleague development and engagement.
  • Utilize a variety of learning methodologies and technologies to deliver effective learning experiences, including e-learning modules, on-the-job training, and experiential learning opportunities.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and continuously improve offerings to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to support the professional growth and development of employees at all levels within the organization.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and innovations in learning and development to ensure programs remain current, relevant, and impactful.
  • Monitor probationary performance evaluations and follow up with Department Heads on development needs.
  • Support succession planning and career development initiatives through individual development plans and coaching.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records, attendance sheets, and L&D reports for both properties.
  • Assist with the organization of colleague engagement activities, recognition programs, and communication initiatives as part of the People & Culture function.
  • Act as a role model of the Heartist values, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture across both properties.
Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably in a luxury hotel brand.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS); knowledge of Accor systems (e.g., MyLearning) is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset.
