This role includes developing team skills and ensuring compliance with regulations, while providing exceptional service to high-net-worth individuals.

About the Role:The Vice President, Team Leader – Elite Banking will lead a team of senior relationship managers and business development managers to drive business growth across the bank’s elite and wealth management segments. The role is based in Abu Dhabi and reports directly to the Executive Vice President & Head – Elite & Select. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets across assets and liabilities, ensuring compliance with bank policies, and delivering exceptional customer service to high-net-worth individuals (HNWI).
- Drive the team to achieve defined sales targets across assets and liabilities.
- Conduct joint calls with team members, daily huddles, and monthly performance reviews.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to optimize team output.
- Build and deepen relationships with elite/wealth management customers to increase share of wallet.
- Ensure service standards are met and team members complete required certifications.
- Advise customers on investment products and keep them informed on market trends.
- Prepare and review credit applications for cards, funded and non-funded facilities.
- Promote cross-selling of bank products and minimize attrition.
- Ensure compliance with AML guidelines, Central Bank regulations, and internal policies.
- Liaise with business units to exchange market insights and support decision-making.
- Implement and maintain business continuity plans and compliance monitoring processes.
- Manage departmental operations, resources, and alignment with policies.
- Develop team skills and knowledge to meet current and future business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business; MBA preferred.
- CISI certification for selling investment products.
- Minimum 10 years in banking, wealth management, and relationship management.
- Proven experience in advisory-level investment product offerings.
- Strong personal banking credit skills.
- Knowledge of UAE banking regulations and AML guidelines.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Expertise in wealth management and HNWI relationship management.
- Ability to interpret MIS and use banking systems effectively.
- Understanding of investment products, market economics, and alternative investment opportunities.
- Organizational skills for events, seminars, and client engagement.
