Job description

The Business Analyst is a developing professional role. The role is within Wealth Management, supporting the Senior Associate Bankers in Private Banking. This role applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data, identifies policy gaps and formulates policies, interprets data and makes recommendations, researches and interprets factual information, identifies inconsistencies in data or results, defines business issues, and formulates recommendations on policies, procedures or practices. The analyst integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with a basic understanding of related industry practices and develops a good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. The work has limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided, primarily within the analyst’s own team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Sr. Associate Banker and Bankers in the creation of sales and marketing strategies designed to generate revenue growth and to acquire new target clients, with a focus on Investments.
  • Assist in profiling, qualifying and converting prospects into Citi Private Bank clients.
  • Client/prospect meetings – organize the pre-call planning, organize post-meeting notes, and maintain all client call records including call reports.
  • Primary responsibility for client data management.
  • Validate and ensure data integrity across a broad spectrum of reports and analysis.
  • Produce senior management reports and ad-hoc data analysis.
  • Primary liaison with Client Service Officers to ensure timely execution of client instructions.
  • Provide end-to-end support for project management; drive a project through from needs analysis to delivery.
  • Provide accurate and timely revenue tracking and deal pipeline reports and other relevant information to the Banker.
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Banker on documentation such as account opening and closing, loan disbursals, etc.
  • Provide complete service support to clients, including solving complex client inquiries.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation related to KYC/AML from the client and ensure all aspects of client records and documentation are completed and updated.
  • Identify and drive solutions to improve client relationship tools and products.
  • Provide data, presentations and independent analysis for senior management and business heads.
  • Support the group in producing presentations for management, financial reporting and assisting in other special projects.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
