L2 Technical Support Engineer
Job summary
A technology services company is seeking an L2 Technical Support Engineer to provide support for Kubernetes, OpenShift, and VMware Tanzu. Strong expertise in Docker, scripting in Bash/Python, and certifications like RHCE and CKA are mandatory. This remote position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle pressure during critical incidents.
Qualifications
- Proficient in containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes and Docker.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python.
- Must hold RHCE and CKA certifications.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 support for Kubernetes/OpenShift/Rancher and VMware Tanzu issues.
- Engage effectively with customers through outstanding communication.
- Work under pressure to resolve incidents swiftly.
Skills
Education
Remote Position
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization.
- Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
- Strong expertise in Linux systems.
- RHCE certification is mandatory.
- CKA certification is mandatory.
- Provide Tier 2 (L2) support to customers, including researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents related to Kubernetes/OpenShift/Rancher and VMware Tanzu technical issues.
- Engage with customers directly, demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Work effectively under pressure, particularly during critical (P1) incidents, to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
