Job summary
A staffing solutions provider is looking for a skilled individual to prepare cost estimates and manage financial aspects of road construction projects in East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring costs, administering contracts, and liaising with stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in project financial management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for road construction projects.
- Monitor project costs and manage cost control throughout the construction phase.
- Evaluate claims and variations submitted by contractors and recommend actions.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender submissions for road construction projects.
- Monitor project costs, track variations, and manage cost control throughout the construction phase.
- Administer contracts, including reviewing, preparing, and negotiating subcontractor agreements and variations.
- Evaluate claims and variations submitted by contractors and recommend actions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure budget adherence and accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate financial exposure.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including interim valuations, final accounts, and project cost reports.
- Advise on contractual and procurement matters, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Mentor junior QS staff and provide guidance on technical and contractual matters.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders regarding project financials and contractual issues.
