Job summary

A reputable company in East London is seeking a Litigation Secretary to perform typing duties, manage correspondence, and provide administrative support for the legal team. Candidates must have Grade 12 / Matric, be proficient in Microsoft Word, and ideally have experience in a legal environment. This role requires strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform dictaphone typing and general typing duties accurately.
  • Screen and manage incoming calls and correspondence.
  • Liaise professionally with clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate filing and documentation records.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements
  • Grade 12 / Matric is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word; basic working knowledge of Excel advantageous.
  • Experience with GhostPractice accounting system beneficial (training will be provided if necessary).
  • Prior experience within a legal environment (Magistrate’s Court, Regional Court, or High Court) will be an advantage.
