Grindstone is growing, and we’re looking for a sharp, solutions-driven Web Developer to join the crew. If you love building beautiful, high-performing websites and aren’t afraid of diving into the backend, this one’s for you.

You’ll work closely with our UI/UX designer but also fly solo when needed. Whether that’s structuring layouts, solving technical snags, or wrangling a finicky plugin. WordPress is your comfort zone, but you’re not fazed by other CMS platforms or custom builds. We need someone who takes ownership, is creative, and delivers smart, functional web experiences.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building and maintaining WordPress sites (including WooCommerce setups)
• Working in Divi, Bricks, Elementor (we use all three)
• Managing dynamic content with ACF + custom post types
• Troubleshooting issues and debugging like a champ
• Translating UI/UX designs into sleek, responsive websites
• Collaborating with our creative team and sometimes leading layout decisions solo
• Optimising for SEO, speed, and security
• Handling DNS, hosting, and server basics
• Creating/restoring database backups
• Occasionally, designing your own layouts if no designer is on hand
• Working with APIs, PHP, and/or JavaScript

What We’re Looking For

• Proven WordPress experience (bonus points for WooCommerce)
• Divi, Bricks, and Elementor mastery
• Solid ACF and custom content know-how
• DNS/hosting chops and an understanding of the full stack
• Familiar with Figma (you don’t need to be a designer, but you can speak the language)
• PHP and JavaScript familiarity? Huge plus.
• SEO best practice knowledge
• API integration experience
• Strong sense of structure and flow when building site architecture
• Curious about new tools and trends in dev land
• Proactive, self-driven, clear communicator

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with non-WordPress CMS or custom builds
• An eye for design and layout
• A mindset for thinking one step ahead and solution-first
