Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to oversee daily operations at their award-winning cheese factory in the Boland. The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 60 employees ensuring that production targets are met safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

• Oversee all aspects of cheese production from milk intake to packaging and dispatch.
• Lead, motivate and develop production staff to achieve operational excellence.
• Ensure full compliance with Health Safety Environmental and Food Quality standards.
• Manage production planning, resource allocation and workflow to meet delivery schedules.
• Drive continuous improvement, waste reduction and efficiency initiatives.
• Monitor and report on KPIs related to productivity, quality and cost control.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality Assurance and Supply Chain teams.

• Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Food Technology, Production Management or Engineering).
• Minimum 5 years experience in a production management role preferably in dairy or food manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Proven track record of managing teams of 50 people.
• Sound understanding of HACCP, ISO and Occupational Health & Safety standards.

Hands-on proactive approach with attention to detail.
