Overall purpose:
The Veterinary Account Manager (Ruminants) is a specialist position, with the ideal candidate responsible for engaging with some of our most key ruminant veterinarian and veterinary channel customers.
A strong affinity for the technical and scientific aspects of our products and the associated conditions is essential, as well as a strong concept and understanding of the business aspect of selling high quality, premium veterinary pharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities:
The person in role is required to develop mutually beneficial and productive long-term partnerships with our veterinary customers (vet direct accounts, non-direct vet accounts, and veterinary wholesalers) and maintain these relationships with the appropriate quantity & quality of activity. He/she will work collaboratively to utilise the resources from the Marketing team, Technical team and BUD to bring a significant level of knowledge and expertise to the customer.
Detailing and Selling: Through strong technical proficiency; excellent product knowledge and understanding, meeting customer's requirements thereby promoting Zoetis products using solution selling techniques.
Territory and veterinary customer base analysis, identification of high potential veterinary and selected farmer customers. Establishing and maintaining of client relationships, management of budgets, identification and reporting of opportunities, ensure promotions are planned and implemented successfully as per Marketing strategy. To organize and present at Key farmer study group information events, in collaboration with the specific veterinary customer.
Territory Administration: Regular updating of SalesForce, Touchpoint and planning calls.
Reporting Structure: Commercial Manager - Ruminants (Vet Channel)
Sales and Customer Territory: Western Cape and much of Eastern Cape
