A High Profile Global FTSE Manufacturer are looking to recruit two Senior Category Buyers (1x Direct, 1x Indirect) to join their team in the North West.

The main objective of the role is to develop and deliver category plans across a portfolio of direct and indirect spend.

Key duties will include:

• Develop and deliver category plans across a portfolio of direct and indirect spend.
• Lead end to end tendering of new suppliers, developing category preferred supplier lists.
• Research your category supply chains, completing spend analysis reports.
• Develop risk management plans across contract / supplier management and procurement processes.
• Monitor supplier performance against contract KPIs and SLAs, managing corrective actions where required.
• Produce reports and lead supplier reviews with Director level internal stakeholders.
• Implement cost reduction plans, achieving annual savings target.
• Develop partnerships with internal stakeholders to gain their support in the delivery of category plans.

Supporting a market leading global product manufacturer who suppliers a wide variety of markets, including automotive, aerospace, energy, medical, electronics and industrial.

Take control of the assigned category supply chains, building relationship and ensuring contract performance.

Lead end to end tendering of new suppliers, developing category preferred supplier lists.

Research your category supply chains, completing spend analysis reports to ensure the categories are delivering best value.

Our client is looking for candidates who have 3+ years operating as a Category Buyer or Senior / Strategic Buyer, delivering category plans for a leading large complex company.

Relevant direct or indirect category experience, managing a wide variety of categories and a £m annual spend.

Demonstrable achievements over recent years, delivering significant cost reductions and rebates.

Demonstrable track record of delivering senior internal stakeholder procurement requirements.

Experience of creating and presenting reports to senior internal stakeholders.
