An established Automotive Component Manufacturing Company is looking for a Junior Buyer with automotive industry experience to join their Supply Chain team.

Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Supply Chain, Purchasing or Logistics
• 5+ years’ experience in purchasing / logistics within manufacturing
• Automotive experience essential
• Supplier negotiation & contract management experience
• Knowledge of Incoterms & basic accounting
• Strong Excel & ERP skills (MRP, JIT, JIS, Kanban)
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Advanced Excel Skills

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement of raw materials & services
• Supplier performance monitoring & cost control
• Stock value, freight costs & non-conformance management
• Vendor loading, price changes & invoice queries
• Support new project quotations & sourcing strategies
• Valid driver’s licence & own transport
• South African citizens only
