Job summary

A well-established leader in technical equipment is looking for a motivated Import Buyer to join their dynamic team in Randburg. This junior buying role involves international procurement and supplier negotiations, managing stock levels, and supporting logistics. The ideal candidate should have previous buying experience, strong Excel skills, and a valid driver's license. A Freight & Logistics qualification is advantageous. This role offers a collaborative work environment, reporting to the Imports Manager.

Qualifications

• Previous procurement or buying experience, especially imports is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation and administrative skills required.
• Must possess strong Excel skills and be familiar with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and manage suppliers locally and internationally.
• Plan and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Support the import process including shipments and documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers and the warehouse team daily.
• Assist with discrepancies and managing records in the ERP system.
