Job summary
A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor. The role involves managing the full suite of duties from tendering to post-contract administration. Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years' experience in a local environment, proficient in measurement and cost estimating, and possess a diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to various M&E projects in a dynamic team environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience as an Electrical Quantity Surveyor.
- Proficient technical knowledge in measurement, cost estimating, and construction technology.
- Able to manage time effectively and handle multitasking.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for Electrical Quantity Surveyor duties from tender to post contract administration.
- Attend site briefings and manage contract/subcontract related tasks.
- Prepare progress claims, variation orders, and verify subcontractor claims.
Skills
Education
- Electrical Quantity Surveyor - (Involve in tender/ bid/ quotation) with minimum 4 years’ experience in local environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the full suite of Electrical Quantity Surveyor duties, from tender to pre-contract, post contract administration duties such as: review of contracts, quantity take-offs, preparing bills of quantities, sourcing and selecting of subcontractors, particularly for M&E disciplines.
- Attend site briefing during pre-tender & tender interview during post tender.
- Contract / Sub Contract administration, preparation of progress claims, variation orders, verifying subcontractor / suppliers claims.
- Compile photos, inspection forms and all relevant documents required for VOs attachment.
- Assist PE and PM for all work as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 4 years of work experience as an Electrical QS.
- Proficient technical knowledge - measurement, cost estimating, construction technology, contracts and law.
- Understand and be competent with professional practice and contract administration processes.
- Positive working attitude and a team player.
- Good time management, multitasking and stress management skills to be able to ensure that tasks get completed on time.
