The role and responsibilities

Your role as a Primary School Teacher is crucial for the development and education of our younger children. Your main task will consist of planning and delivering lessons, including Spelling, Comprehensive reading and Mathematics, play based learning and teaching through the International Primary Curriculum (IEYC & IPC). Students in your class receive one hour of English language instruction per day from our English Language Teachers.

Creating a positive and safe learning environment is essential. You will manage student behaviour, encourage participation, and teach engaging well-planned lessons. Every child in our school is unique, so you will need to differentiate your teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles. You will provide feedback to students and their parents about their academic performance, building strong connections with our active parent community.

Effective communication with parents is crucial for a child's educational success. You will regularly update parents on class activities through our school’s online platform and during parent-teacher meetings. We are looking for a candidate with a collaborative approach to working. Collaboration with other staff members is essential for creating a cohesive learning environment and addressing the diverse needs of students.

You have
  • At least a Bachelor's degree in education and are a qualified teacher with a strong focus on early years/lower primary education.
  • Strong subject knowledge across the primary curriculum; experience of teaching the EIYC & IPC is an advantage.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, manage behaviour effectively and promote student engagement.
  • Flexibility to adapt teaching strategies based on individual student needs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Good understanding of Google Workspace and ICT literate (Apple).
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, including the ability to engage in safe practices and undergo necessary checks.
  • A willingness to work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive environment, promoting equity and respect for all students and staff.
Our offer

An employment contract starting August 1st, 2026. We offer different contract terms based on the candidate's current residency status, subject to the discretion of our management team. For candidates we need to relocate from abroad, we provide a package including a two-year contract and a potential annual renewal. For candidates already residing in Singapore, we offer a one-year contract with the potential for annual renewal. Please note that expatriate benefits are not available for locally-based candidates.

In addition to a competitive monthly salary, based on your experience and expertise, you will be entitled to a monthly transportation allowance and follow the school holiday schedule for teachers. Furthermore, we provide a health insurance package and offer a bonus payment.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview at our school or online. The second interview will include an observation lesson either on-site at our school or our recruitment team will visit your school in the Netherlands.
