Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Safety Coordinator to support Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) functions for a project at Singapore General Hospital (SGH). The Safety Coordinator will play a key role in conducting daily safety checks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all personnel onsite.

Key Responsibilities

Site Safety Management

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
• Monitor workers’ compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Support the WSH Officer (WSHO) in implementing the project’s WSH programme.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain safety documentation such as permits-to-work, checklists, risk assessments (RA), and Safe Work Procedures (SWP).
• Prepare safety reports for management, clients, and relevant authorities.
• Ensure compliance with MOM regulations, WSH Act, and SGH’s internal safety rules.

Training & Briefings

• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings for workers and subcontractors.
• Assist with site induction for all new personnel entering the project.

Incident Management

• Assist in investigating incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts/conditions.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and SGH’s safety representatives.
• Attend required safety meetings and audits.

Requirements

• Valid CSOC, First Aid, or other safety certifications (preferred).

Experience
