Our client is an industry leader, respected amongst its peers as a pioneer in technology adoption. As the business propels towards maturity and growth, there is now an exciting opportunity for a senior Global Business Services/Shared Services professional to join them in this critical role.
Responsibilities
In this high visibility role, you will lead an international team in setting the strategic direction of the Global Business Services (GBS) organization, which will encompass functions in Finance, HR, IT, Procurement etc. In line and in anticipation of the future direction of the company, you will work alongside external consultants and be the architect to design the overall GBS strategy, operationalize the structure and execution of a best in class and when scale has been achieved, continue the pursuit of operational excellence and continuous improvements. All this with the focus of achieving efficiencies whilst maintaining high standards of customer service. With state-of-the-art technology tools at your disposal, you will also be expected to embed automation (including RPA, AI) where possible depending on the stage of maturity in each of respective sub-work streams.
Requirements
Ideally you should be degree qualified, with a minimum of 18 years' relevant experience, of which at least 5 years should be in a senior leadership capacity of running Global Business/Shared Services. A strong process mindset and deep operations experience - across multiple pillars (i.e. Finance, HR etc.) - is a must. You are excellent in project/program management and have a demonstrated track record of leading impactful transformation initiatives of scale. Strategic in mindset, you are highly disciplined and structured in approach. A self-starter, you infect others with your positive energy and are adept at navigating through ambiguities. You are a respected leader with excellent skills in senior stakeholder engagement.
