The Opportunity

While Counto is already a leader in the market, we aren't stopping there. We are currently developing a new, stealth-mode financial operations platform—a "skunkworks" project designed to fundamentally change how accounting firms and enterprises manage complex workflows.

We are looking for a Founding Solutions Engineer for this specific new business unit. You will work directly with the founders and the product team to take this new platform from "Code" to "Customer."

The Role

You will operate at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Business Development. You are the technical face of this new platform, responsible for configuring the system for our beta partners and ensuring the technology solves real business pains.

Your Mission:

• Architect the Workflows: You will use our new low-code engine to build complex "SOP Playbooks" for early adopters. You will be configuring webhooks, defining logic rules, and scripting automations (JS/JSON) to connect our platform with tools like Stripe, Xero, and local banks.
• The "Forward-Deployed" Engineer: You will join the founders on calls with potential beta partners (other accounting firms and mid-sized SMEs). Your job is to translate their messy, manual Excel spreadsheets into elegant, automated workflows on our platform.
• Rapid Prototyping: When a prospect asks, "Can it do X?", you build a proof-of-concept using our API and rules engine to show them "Yes, it can."
• Feedback Loop: You will be the primary bridge between the market and our core engineering team, identifying bugs and prioritizing features for the next sprint.

Who You Are

• The "Technical" Accountant: You understand the fundamentals of accounting (General Ledger, AP/AR, Reconciliation) but you are bored by manual data entry. You want to automate it.
• A Hacker at Heart: You are comfortable reading API documentation, writing SQL queries, or hacking together a script in JavaScript/Python to solve a problem. You know what a JSON payload looks like.
• Business Savvy: You can sit in a room with a CFO or a Business Owner, understand their operational bottlenecks, and explain how our technology solves them without using overwhelming jargon.
• Singapore Context: You are familiar with the local compliance landscape (IRAS tax rules, GST, ACRA filing) and the typical tech stack used by Singapore SMEs (Xero, Quickbooks, Osome, Aspire, etc.).

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in SaaS Implementation, Pre-Sales Engineering, or Technical Product Management.
• Alternative Background: An Accountant/Finance professional who pivoted into Tech/Coding.
• Experience with integration tools (Zapier, Pipedream, Postman) is a strict requirement.
• Strong communication skills—you enjoy the "chase" of winning a client as much as the "build."
• Based in Singapore.
