Job Functions & Summary
Responsible for proposing, managing and supervising all maintenance activities of the golf courses.
Job Roles & Responsibilities
Plan and prioritize work, monitor course conditions and worker productivity, implement training and keeping records. Develop alternate plans adaptable to changing conditions.
Roster course maintenance staff. Assists in overseeing, scheduling and routing of personnel and equipment to accomplish works. Inspects the golf course and related areas to evaluate how well management standards are being achieved and to effect changes in management programs. Supervise work being carried out to achieve the highest course maintenance standards.
Inspection of the course condition on a daily basis and preparing weekly miscellaneous works summary for action to be carried out.
Supervise the preparation of course set up for club events and major tournaments.
Perform monthly stock‑take of fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides and ensuring stock inventory system are properly update and maintained.
Assist recruiting and training new course maintenance staff.
Maintain and submit staff records such as attendance, overtime, medical etc.
Responsible for ensuring that the course is in top condition for play. This includes mowing and fertilizing the grass, aerification works, topdressing the greens, and maintaining the SubAir system to ensure proper function. Oversee the maintenance of the bunkers, including raking and adding sand as needed.
Ensure proper irrigation to keep the turf healthy and playable. Responsible for managing the irrigation system, including scheduling and adjusting watering based on weather conditions and the needs of the turf. Good water conservation practice.
Assist overseeing a wide range of equipment and facilities that need regular maintenance and repairs. This includes maintaining and servicing mowers, tractors, and other equipment. The maintenance and repair of buildings, and other facilities on the course.
Assist Plans, develops and administers annual budgets for maintenance and capital improvements of the golf course and workshop.
Keeps accurate and complete records on payroll, inventory, weather data, maintenance procedures and pesticide applications.
Assists the company with facilities management and planning at all recreational clubs, as necessary.
Assist preparation of monthly updates for Greens Sub‑Committee and Staff meetings.
Assist Plan, design and maintain all landscape and horticultural work involved within the Club premises.
Assist supervising tree planting projects and any other projects as assigned by the Greens Sub‑Committee.
Communicates and coordinates golf course related issues between Golf Operation and Golf Course Maintenance Department.
Involves in the preparation, execution and review of tender documents and procurement process.
Ensures compliance to all government rules and regulations under Work Safety & Health , PUB, NEA, SCDF, NPark and liaises with the agencies as and when necessary.
Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
