Adecco is hiring for a boutique commodities trading firm seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in full set or general ledger (GL) accounting and a good understanding of finance operations. This role will also support trade settlement and may take on light HR and administrative duties, offering excellent exposure to the dynamic world of commodities trading.

The Job:

• Handle full set of accounts including AR, AP, GL, and month-end closing
• Prepare financial reports, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Prepare and submit GST
• Support external audits and liaise with auditors/tax agents when needed

• Monitor trade documentation and ensure timely settlement of trades
• Liaise with counterparties, brokers, and banks to ensure smooth transaction processing
• Assist with LC (Letter of Credit) applications and coordination with trade finance banks
• Ensure accuracy of trade-related accounting entries

• Assist in HR-related tasks such as maintaining employee records, onboarding documentation, and coordinating benefits
• Support general office administration duties and vendor management

The Talent:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of total work experience, including 1 to 2 years of full set or GL accounting experience
• Experience in the commodities trading industry is highly preferred
• Familiar with trade settlement processes and trade finance documentation is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible, hands-on, and willing to take on multi-functional responsibilities including HR/admin support
