Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with strong software industry experience to lead the organization’s end-to-end finance and accounting function. This role will drive financial strategy, operational excellence, and long-term business value.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting expertise, experience in listed companies or listing environments, strong business and operational acumen, and a proven track record in people leadership and mergers & acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Business Leadership

  • Provide financial leadership and strategic guidance across the organization, influencing business performance, capital planning, and risk management.
  • Partner with senior management to support corporate strategy, growth initiatives, and operational decision-making through data-driven financial insights.

End-to-End Finance & Accounting Operations

  • Oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions including GL, AP/AR, payroll, taxation, treasury, financial reporting, and compliance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead audits, tax matters, and governance processes with a high standard of integrity and control.

Listing & Regulatory Compliance

  • Manage financial governance and compliance requirements for a listed company or companies preparing for listing.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards, regulatory frameworks, and reporting obligations.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Provide insightful analysis on performance, variances, and profitability to support executive decision-making.

Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Lead end-to-end M&A activities including financial due diligence, valuation, deal structuring, integration planning, and post-merger financial integration.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful execution of transactions.

Risk Management & Internal Controls

  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls, financial policies, and risk management frameworks.
  • Proactively identify financial, operational, and compliance risks and implement mitigation strategies.

People Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Build a strong finance organization with clear accountability, capability development, and succession planning.
  • Foster strong collaboration with cross-functional leaders across the business.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional accounting certification is mandatory (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 10 years of senior finance leadership experience, preferably at CFO, Finance Director, or Controller level.
  • Software business experience is required.
  • Experience working in a listed company or with listing exposure is required.
  • Proven people management experience leading finance teams.
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end finance and accounting functions.
  • Hands‑on experience with mergers & acquisitions.
  • Strong business, operational, and commercial acumen.
