Job summary
A leading healthcare provider in Singapore is seeking an Optometrist to examine patients' eyes and provide pre and postoperative care for eye surgery. The ideal candidate should hold a Diploma/Degree in Optometry and possess at least one year of relevant experience. Responsibilities include performing eye health examinations and managing patient care while handling administrative duties. This position operates on a 5.5 days work week in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in optometry.
- Fully registered with a valid practicing certificate with Optometrists & Opticians Board.
Responsibilities
- Examine patients’ eyes using specialist equipment.
- Provide pre and postoperative care for eye surgery patients.
- Perform eye health examinations to manage patient care.
Skills
Education
- Examine patients’ eyes by using specialist equipment and machines to diagnose and check for signs and symptoms.
- Provide pre and postoperative care to patients undergoing eye surgery.
- Perform eye health examinations to screen and provide care management for patients.
- Dispensary of medication.
- Administrative and counter duties such as attending to patients’ registration, crowd control, answering of phone-calls for appointments and questions.
- Handle TPA (Third-Party) Claims, Medisave Claims, Insurance Claims and other documentations.
- Involve in administrative functions relating to work area such as drug/consumable ordering/stock-take/payment.
- Provide information / education to patients and family members.
- Perform other related duties, or ad-hoc departmental task/activities as assigned.
- Diploma / Degree in Optometry, with at least 1 year of relevant experience
- Fully Registered with Valid Practicing Certificate with Optometrists & Opticians Board
- Good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- PC / Computer literacy and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- 5.5 days work week
