Job Purpose
The Finance Process Improvement and Project Advisor leadscross-functional finance projects to drive continuous improvements, systemroll-outs / integrations. The role will also function as the primary process leadfor global revenue accounting and operations, this role ensures consistent,efficient and compliant revenue recognition and reporting.
Key responsibilities include managing ERP and Operations billingsystems implementations for revenue reporting and operations, ensuring timely andaccurate financial closes globally. The position involves close collaborationwith stakeholders to deliver projects efficiently, manage change, and achieveorganizational objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities
Finance Process Improvement
- Global Process Lead forRevenue Accounting and Operations: Execute end-to-end global revenue processesreview, ensuring consistency, compliance, and best practices across allbusiness units and regions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for revenue process matters,collaborating with Corporate and Regional finance teams, business partners, andexternal stakeholders to drivealignment and achieve margin and revenue objectives.
- Drive the harmonization and streamlining of processes and controls toensure revenue recognition and reporting are accurate, timely, and compliant.Proactively analyze finance and accounting workflows to uncover inefficiencies,redundancies, and bottlenecks, and implement optimization using Lean Six Sigma, Agile, and industry best practices.
- Recommend data-driven solutions leveraging digital transformationtechnologies and automation tools.
- Develop and implement tools and metrics to monitor process performance and strengthen governance.
- Engage stakeholders to ensure strategic margin improvements aredelivered as committed.
- Support development offunctional specifications, manage user testing, assist in the release of new functionalities, provide post go-live support, and prepare training manuals.
ERP Implementation
- Act as the primary processowner and subject matter expert for the revenue accounting for the ERP implementation project, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Facilitate workshops and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, and Operations to gather requirements and define future-state processes.
- Collaborate closely with external system integrator consultants toensure business requirements are accurately translated into system design and configuration.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), track issues, and ensuretimely resolution.
- Support change management, conduct training, and communicationinitiatives to ensure successful adoption by end-users.
Project Management and Execution
As Project Manager:
- Lead assigned projects end-to-end from conceptualization to execution,ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Define project objectives, success criteria, scope, and resourcing; create and maintain project plans with clear milestones and timelines.
- Drive effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional internal and external teams to manage competing priorities.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather insights, manage dependencies and drive consensus among stakeholders, ensuring alignment at all stages of the project.
- Identify and resolve roadblocks, manage risks, and make trade-offs to balance business needs and constraints.
- Conduct regular status meetings, prepare agendas, document minutes, and track follow-up actions; escalate issues as needed.
- Support change management and go-live activities; measure and manage project benefits and costs to ensure resource efficiency.
- Incorporate best-in-class project management standards in all initiatives.
Project Team Member
- Represent Finance in enterprise, business, or IT projects, acting as liaison between Finance and other functional teams.
- Provide Finance-related guidance and coordinate deliverables across Finance functions.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned actions and support overall project success.
- Any other tasks that may reasonably be required of therole.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree-level or equivalent.
- Formal project management methodology qualifications,PMP certification preferred.
Requirements
- At least 5 – 7 years of relevant experience in financeand accounting domain, with at least 2 years of hands-on involvement in ERP projects. Experience in audit or logistics industry is a plus.
- Strong understanding of finance operations and controls, including Record to Report, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay and Cost/Profit Center Accounting
- Self-motivated, organized, forward-thinking, resulted orientated and able to manage priorities effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple complex cross-functional programs at once, work to tight deadlines.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment with a good command of spoken and written English to influence and motivate.
- Cross functional relationship building is paramount as the role must be able to work with and influence both internal and external individuals not directly under their control.
