A financial services organization based in Singapore is seeking a skilled leader for their STS & OTC team. The ideal candidate will manage financial operations across ANZ and Asia markets, ensuring high performance and compliance with standards. Required background includes over 7 years of relevant experience in financial operations, accounting qualifications, and strong leadership skills. Based in Singapore and reporting to the Associate Director, Finance APAC GFS - Source to Settle (STS) & Order to Cash (OTC) Lead of APAC Global Financial Solutions (GFS), this position will be responsible for leading the STS & OTC team in the management and delivery of STS and OTC services mainly focusing on ANZ & Asia markets (or other markets depending on business needs).
The customers for the STS process will be represented by Finance Business Partners of ANZ & Asia markets in and will also include the Finance and business users of the process along with suppliers.
The customers for the OTC process will be represented by the finance of ANZ & Asia markets, commercial finance and commercial operations.
STS processes include but not limited to handling of supplier’s onboarding requests, PO administration, supplier invoice processing, employees’ expense claims, Corporate Card handling, payment processing, month-end processes for APAC markets.
OTC processes include but not limited to Customer and Credit Maintenance, Cash Application, Debt Collection, Credit review, Order Management, month-end processes for APAC markets.
Manage, train, and provide guidance and direction to the team and AP/AR Users; and the Customer Services and Finance teams for ANZ & Asia markets (or other markets depending on business needs)
Manage the overall process effectively, reporting KPI’s and enhancing and streamlining the effectiveness of the process;
Manage and liaise with our various service providers to ensure quality and timeliness of the services
Recommend changes in processes and/or policies that identify and utilize technologies that will provide efficiencies;
Ensure that all standards in the service partnership agreement are consistently met and a high level in key performance indicators is achieved
Responsible for maintaining up-to-date documentation and adherence to all internal controls as required for the Sarbanes - Oxley Act;
Lead and manage the ANZ & Asia STS/OTC team (or other markets depending on business needs) to drive efficiencies and support a scalable model in the future
Performance management of the team, through coaching and 1-to-1’s;
Perform month-end close process;
Ensure all deadlines are met during the close cycle;
Support the GL accounting team in the completion of statutory compliance functions
Participate in ad-hoc projects are necessary
Any ad hoc tasks as assigned
Possibility of the scope change due to business needs
Potential job rotation
7 years+ hands-on experience in ANZ & Asia markets Financial Operations (experience financial shared services is an advantage)
Accounting/ Finance / Business degree
ACA/ACCA/CPA qualification is preferred - Big 4 or similar practice accounting background a distinct advantage
People management experience is a must
Must have a good understanding of accounting principles and practices
Experience in interacting with external and internal auditors along with detailed knowledge and experience of SOX Compliance
Strong Excel proficiency
Be a self-starter and able to act on own initiative
Self-driven with high levels of integrity, excellence and teamwork
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to be detail oriented
Capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously, working under pressure and to meet strict reporting deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (oral, written, presentational);
Project Management skills and experience desirable
Demonstrates teamwork and collaborate approach to work
Fluency in both written and spoken English and Traditional Mandarin is preferred to liaise with counterparts from Taiwan market (or other markets per business needs)
