Job summary
A global technology leader is seeking a senior telecommunications expert for a role focused on building relationships and driving growth in the Saudi telecom sector. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience, fluency in English and Arabic, and a deep understanding of the local telecom landscape. This position offers opportunities for strategic engagement with top telecom executives and requires some travel within the region.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in telecommunications, especially optical transport and IP/MPLS.
- Deep knowledge of the Saudi telecom landscape.
- Proven ability to engage with senior telecom executives.

- Develop relationships with senior technical leaders in the telecom sector.
- Lead discussions and product demonstrations.
- Identify growth opportunities aligned with telecom trends.

- Develop trusted relationships with senior technical and business leaders in the Saudi telecom sector.
- Lead solution discussions, technical proposals, and product demonstrations.
- Identify and drive growth opportunities aligned with regional telecom trends.
- Provide expert insights on Ciena’s WaveLogicTM optical solutions, 6500 Packet-Optical platforms, and routing/switching products.
- Analyze regional regulations, competitive dynamics, and technological advancements.
- Support strategic initiatives with key operators like STC and other regional carriers.
- Collaborate across teams to align solutions with customer needs and market demands.
- 10+ years of experience in telecommunications, with expertise in optical transport, IP/MPLS, and network architecture.
- Deep knowledge of the Saudi Arabian and Middle Eastern telecom landscape.
- Fluency in English and Arabic, with exceptional communication skills for technical and business audiences.
- Proven ability to engage senior telecom executives and translate technical solutions into measurable business outcomes.
- Willingness to travel (~20%) across Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
- Familiarity with Ciena’s WaveLogicTM optical solutions and 6500 Packet-Optical platforms.
- Experience working with regional telecom operators.
- Knowledge of automation solutions for network optimization.
- Background in developing strategic partnerships within the telecom industry.
- Understanding of emerging technologies driving the telecom sector.
- Prior experience with high-growth market strategies in the region.
- Capability to manage cross-functional collaboration within a global organization.
