Job summary

A leading mining company in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Geologist to assist with exploration and resource development activities. You will work with an experienced exploration team, designing exploration programs, analyzing geological data, and collaborating with various departments. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience in geology within the mining industry. A passion for exploration and a commitment to safety are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in geology within mining industry.
  • Familiarity with KSA mining, minerals, and exploration sector.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with geological activities within the exploration team.
  • Contribute to target generation activities and prioritize geological targets.
  • Design exploration programs including mapping and soil sampling.
  • Utilize geological and geophysical data sources to identify targets.
  • Collaborate with departments to develop exploration plans.
  • Analyze drilling results and update geological models.
  • Ensure compliance with permits and licenses.

Skills

Strong project management skills
Solid analytical skills
Extensive knowledge of JORC and N143-401 standards
Experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC)
Exceptional technical skills across geosciences
Strong communication skills
Expertise in early exploration-related positions
Proficiency with software packages (ArcGIS, datamine, etc.)
Ability to recognize exploration risks

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geoscience or similar
