Job summary
A leading educational institution is seeking an IT Officer / IT Technician to manage and enhance web applications, provide technical support, and assist in IT training sessions. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 5 years in IT, alongside proficiency in programming languages such as Java and PHP. Applicants should possess:
- Diploma or higher, preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline.
- At least 5 years of full-time work experience.
- Proficiency in web programming languages/tools such as Java, PHP, Python, MySQL, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript.
- Proven experience in Linux/Windows OS and application server administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems and common software.
- Experience in photography, photo editing, and/or video editing is a plus.
- Flexible, creative, passionate, willing to learn and self‑motivated.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Strong sense of responsibility, great interpersonal skills, ability to multitask within tight timeframes independently and as a team player.
- Create, enhance, and manage web applications using front‑end, back‑end, and database tools.
- Offer technical guidance and support to resolve IT issues.
- Help configure and set up computer systems and related devices.
- Conduct training sessions on software usage and IT protocols.
- Oversee IT equipment inventory and maintenance.
- Uphold adherence to IT guidelines and security protocols.
- Provide on‑site IT assistance during events and after‑hours support.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and written test. Applicants with lower academic qualifications and less work experience will be considered for the position of IT Technician.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
