A healthcare organization in Johor Bahru is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee center setup, coordinate renovation, and manage operational programs. The role includes financial management, business planning, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Candidates should have a track record in operations management and be able to develop effective business strategies.
Serve as the primary liaison between the wellness center and contractors during the setup and renovation phase.
Oversee and coordinate all renovation works, ensuring timely completion and compliance with design specifications.
Manage and arrange the logistics of moving in wellness-use items, including procurement, delivery, acceptance, and proper placement of equipment and supplies.
Work closely with HQ and report weekly on the progress of the center’s setup process, providing updates on contractor performance, milestones, and challenges.
Ensure all necessary permits, certifications, and regulatory requirements are obtained before operational commencement.
Develops and carries out rolling 3-month sales forecast and sales target attainment plan.
Provides close support and collaboration to the medical team and operation team to assist in the development and carrying out of the business plan(s) for the Center and its assigned specialist clinics/centers so as to achieve sales goals and patient visits.
Assists in negotiating and managing medical tenancy contracts for the leasing of clinical space or medical consultancy contracts for the provision of services at the Center.
Responsible for developing, recommending, and monitoring the operating budgets and forecasts for the medical center operations, and for effective variance reporting and corrective action to ensure conformity with the budget.
Maintains appropriate financial/statistical performance data and produces meaningful reports to monitor, evaluate, and improve financial and operational performance. Provides leadership with appropriate information as the basis for sound business decisions.
Oversees and tracks the proper allocation of revenues and expenses by fostering close interdepartmental collaboration.
Participates and contributes to competitive analysis and pricing strategy development.
Develops and carries out cost containment strategies.
Assists in the development of the capital budget and prepares cost/benefit analyses to aid sound decision-making by the Board of Directors.
Develops and implements non-medical operating processes to increase productivity and growth, and to improve client/patient experience.
Oversees daily operational programs by collaborating closely with the medical operations team of the various specialist clinics/centers to monitor and analyse workflow and work schedules and patient satisfaction/level of service, and to implement continual improvements to achieve the most efficient utilization of physician time and space, and patient flow and experience.
Responsible for coordinating facility management, including space planning, equipment/furnishings, and maintenance.
Develops, implements, and ensures that the policies and procedures are in compliance with the requirements of local authorities.
Ensures adequate information technology resources for efficient departmental operations, including hardware, software, networking, and telecommunications upgrades.
Supports customer-facing operations, including sales, marketing, guest service and public relations.
Maintains collaborative team relationships among subordinates, and with peers and colleagues to foster the team’s achievement of goals, and a positive work environment.
Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
