Overview
Position: Technician II – Maintenance Technician (Production Equipment)
Location: i‑Park, Kulai, Malaysia
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Maintenance Engineer and keep the team informed of equipment status and progress.
- Ensure machines operate effectively and efficiently; respond immediately to breakdowns.
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on production equipment, covering mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic components.
- Support the engineering team in developing new models or products and aid the QA and production teams in achieving one‑time delivery and machine yield control.
- Carry out daily machine maintenance, schedule preventive maintenance activities, and maintain accurate CMMS records.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, comply with environmental control procedures, and report any environmental incidents or improvements.
- Carry out duties assigned by the Maintenance Engineer.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance department (fresh entry applicants welcome).
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance for mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic components.
- Experience with PLC, CMMS, and OEE tools is an advantage.
- Prepared to work long hours to minimize production disruption.
Language and Computer Skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with Windows operating system.
Work Requirements
- Compliance with HID Global policies related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
- International travel required; valid US passport or ability to obtain one.
- Legally eligible to work in Malaysia.
