Job summary

A leading construction materials company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Draftsperson to create and manage technical drawings using CAD software. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Architectural, Engineering, or Interior Design with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Expertise in AutoCAD is essential, with an advantage for those skilled in Revit, Sketchup, and 3D modelling. This role demands attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure, ensuring quality and compliance with specifications.

Qualifications

• Any degree in Architectural, Engineering or Interior Design field with at least 3 years working experience.
• Experience in AutoCAD 2D/3D is mandatory.
• Willing to work under high demand environment.

Job description

Create the technical drawings based on input given by Sales/Marketing/Spec/Technical using computer aided design and drafting software (CAD)

Check the drawings to ensure the proposed product/system are in the correct dimension and in accordance to Company product listing.

Draft and prepare the customized design solution as per request and review by Technical Service Engineer/Technical Support Manager.

Work from rough sketches and specifications input by requestor

Revise drawings and layouts to reflect changes and enhancements

Documents control

To assign drawing numbers, creation date and revision number in the design technical drawings.

Drawings to be stored systematically for easy access with proper search criteria

Accountability

Completion of the quality technical drawings on time

Validating the design drawings with Technical Service Engineer/Head of Technical to ensure complying with Company’s recommended specification.

Technical drawings title, date and revision number to be accurately stated.

Qualifications

Any degree in Architectural, Engineering or Interior Design field with at least 3 years working experience

Experience in AutoCAD 2D/3D is mandatory.

Experience in Revit, 3D/2D modelling, Sketchup, Photoshop is an added advantage

Willing to work under high demand environment.
