Job summary

A technology firm is seeking a System Engineer to configure and install various network devices and services, perform maintenance, and monitor system performance. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in IT, possess necessary skills in cybersecurity and network management, and be able to work independently. Job description

System Engineer

• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, database servers, VPN);
• Perform maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hpt and security configuration;
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability;
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending and capacity planning;
• Provide Level 1 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues;
• Prepare system documentation based on methodology adopted;
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure;
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution;
• Perform implementation of any system software;
• Programming/scripting for back-end systems;
• Perform any function/responsibility that may assigned by the Management from time to time.

Job Requirement

• At least a Certificate/Diploma in Information Technology. Preferred Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology / Cybersecurity or equivalent.
• Required skill(s): Cybersecurtiy, Managing Firewall, Network and Wireless Network, Windows Server OS and Linux OS.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia & English.
• At least 3 years of working experience in Information Technology Enterprise.
• Possess own transportation and must be willing to travel.
• Able to work independently.l
• Hardworking, disciplined, punctual, good in communication skills, willing to learn, honest and trustworthy in work.
• Work based in Kuala Lumpur (Desa Pandan).
