Job summary

A leading infrastructure management company is seeking a Traffic Management Officer in Kedah, Malaysia. The role involves conducting site inspections, ensuring compliance with traffic management activities, and providing leadership during training sessions. Candidates should possess a Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field, with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Additional certifications in traffic management and safety standards are advantageous. Excellent communication skills are essential for working with subcontractors and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering, Traffic Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Certifications in Traffic Management or Safety Standards would be an added advantage.
  • 3-5 years of experience in traffic management or highway maintenance roles.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Traffic Toolbox and rollcall to ensure adequate worker numbers.
  • Explain project requirements to subcontractors and workers.
  • Implement traffic management activities as per client requirements.
  • Conduct weekly compliance checklists and document records.
  • Inspect the site and guide subordinates in their duties.
  • Conduct On-Job-Training sessions on safety aspects.
  • Document progress meetings with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Prepare and submit supporting documents for claims.
  • Ensure compliance with SOP and company safety act.
  • Review work program/TMP for lane closures.
