Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Provide safety induction or toolbox briefing for all sub-contractors and workers prior to work commencement.
• Issue working pass after conducting safety induction and collect all required documents from workers and sub-contractors.
• Monitor site activities in accordance with safety regulations.
• Periodically inspect all safety aspects including site access (scaffolding, gondola, passenger hoist, skylift, etc.), machinery (mobile crane, forklift, electronic chain, monorail hoist, etc.), and power tools (cables, drill machines, cutting machines, etc.).
• Ensure that workers use necessary protective equipment such as helmets, hand gloves, welding shades, etc., and issue penalties if necessary.
• Investigate accidents and determine their causes.
• Receive and act on reports regarding safety concerns from workers within the construction site/workplace.

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Diploma/Certificate in Occupational, Safety and Health qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Site Safety Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Possess valid competency and be registered with DOSH/NIOSH/JKKP.
• Team player capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Own transport and willing to work in Johor Bahru.
