Job summary

A logistics firm is seeking a qualified individual in Johor, Malaysia, to manage import/export documentation and coordinate with customs and authorities. The ideal candidate should hold a diploma in logistics or a related field and possess 2-3 years of shipping experience. Strong knowledge of Incoterms and excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia are essential. This role also involves monitoring shipping schedules and addressing customer inquiries, ensuring smooth delivery operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in shipping & customs clearance.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments at once.
  • Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage all import/export documentation.
  • Coordinate with customs, port authorities, forwarders.
  • Manage e-permit applications and compliance with customs regulations.
  • Liaise with warehouse and production for timely invoicing.
  • Monitor shipping schedules, track shipments, handle delays.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit.
  • Support in cost control for freight and related charges.
  • Ensure smooth delivery of goods to customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries related to shipments.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage all import/export documentation: invoice, packing list, BL, CO, K1/K2/K9, etc.
  • Coordinate with customs, port authorities, forwarders, and relevant government agencies (MITI, SIRIM, CIDB, etc.).
  • Manage e-permit applications and ensure compliance with customs regulations & procedures.
  • Liaise with the warehouse and production team to ensure Job Orders are closed timely for invoicing.
  • Monitor shipping schedules, track shipments, and handle any delays or clearance issues.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit and internal use.
  • Support in cost control for freight, duties, and related shipping charges.
  • Ensure smooth delivery of goods to customers or between branches.
  • Handle customer inquiries related to shipment/delivery timelines.
Requirements
  • Diploma or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Admin or related field.
