Job summary

A global medical technology company in Johor, Malaysia is seeking a Shipping Clerk. In this role, you will prepare documentation for shipping, track incoming and outgoing shipments, and assist in cargo planning. Candidates should have over 3 years of shipping experience, proficiency in Word and Excel, and good communication skills. The position primarily involves an office environment with some local travel required.

Qualifications

  • Above 3 years of experience in shipping is preferred.
  • Experience in inbound and outbound in a manufacturing facility.
  • Basic knowledge of reading English.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare shipping documentation including invoices and packing lists.
  • Track and update status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Submit monthly reports to the Custom department.
  • Arrange shipment details with forwarders and carriers.
  • Assist in cargo planning and inventory updates.

Job Summary

The Shipping clerk is responsible for one or more of the following activities: Tracks, trace of incoming raw materials, equipment, assemblies and MRO, from suppliers and other Masimo facilities; and direct shipments to customers performing proper transactions into Expandable.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepare documentation example. Invoice, packing list, custom form for local and international shipping.
  • Tracks, traces and updates status of incoming/ outgoing shipment.
  • Prepare and submit monthly report on incoming/ Outgoing to Custom department.
  • Arrange details of shipments with forwarders, and carriers as necessary for export/imports.
  • Assist in cargo planning.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly report on incoming/outgoing activities and update inventory.
  • Other tasks including proper filing and tasks assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Above 3 years experiences in shipping is an advantage.
  • Inbound and outbound experience in manufacturing facility.
  • Proficient in Word & Excel.
  • Good communication and computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years above prior experience in a continuous improvement environment
  • Warehouse and Inventory control prior experience in manufacturing facility
  • Basic knowledge of reading English
Education

SPM/ SPTM Or Diploma

Physical requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license is required.
