Step into a high-impact regional role where your planning insights directly shape customer satisfaction and supply chain performance across the APAC region. allnex is expanding the regional planning team and hiring Senior Planner, based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, to support strong business growth across the region. You will orchestrate product flows from multiple global locations, collaborate with diverse teams, and drive the planning excellence that keeps our customers supplied and our business growing.

Responsibilities
- Demand & Planning
- Conduct regular analysis of SKU performance, identifying stock-outs and future backlogs based on latest business conditions.
- Review forecasts with Demand Analysts and the Commercial team as needed; conduct forecast vs. actual order reviews at least twice weekly.
- Update SAP forecasts manually for ad hoc orders or updated demand prior to Supply Review.
- Ensure accurate closing of planning orders (purchase and transfer orders).
- Monitor weekly shipping plans to ensure timely dispatch from supplying plants.
- Stakeholder Coordination & Customer Support
- Act as the first point of contact for customer-related planning queries.
- Coordinate with Customer Service and Logistics to ensure labelling, marking, and delivery requirements are met.
- Support cross-regional communication to align supply, demand, and planning requirements.
- Inventory, Stocking Policy & SMOG Management
- Maintain planning parameters and stocking policies (finished goods, intermediates, raw materials) in alignment with business rules and working capital targets.
- Maintain accurate MRP master data and planning parameters (lead times, MOQ, stocking policies) within ERP systems.
- Drive SMOG (Slow-Moving & Obsolete Goods) reduction initiatives; propose write-offs and preventive actions to Regional Planners.
- Coordinate new product/SKU extensions and resolve stock issues (e.g., damaged inventory incidents).
- Capacity Planning & Process Improvement
- Support the Planning Partner in short-, medium-, and long-term capacity-demand balancing (RCCP 3–18 months).
- Identify opportunities for improvement within planning and purchasing interfaces.
- Challenge existing processes, propose enhancements, and assess risks and implications of decisions.
- Ensure difficult or sensitive issues are escalated appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Compliance & Best Practices
- Ensure adherence to company safety, compliance standards, and operational best practices.
- Maintain accurate transactional planning/scheduling processes to ensure product availability within ERP systems.
Required skills and experience
- 5 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in chemical or resin industry is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in production planning systems and ERP platforms.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience in regional or cross‑country planning coordination.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with diverse multicultural teams.
- Experience in demand forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory management.
- Ability to understand complex instructions, organize information logically, and identify key priorities.
- Able to think creatively, challenge status quo, and contribute improvement ideas.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
