Senior NPI Executive (Nutraceutical Manufacturing)

Requirements

Possess Degree in Engineering or Food Technology or as accepted by management.

At least five (5) years working experience in manufacturing industry - Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical or Process Industry, related field, or as accepted by management.

Senior Project Engineer (NPI)

The Senior Project Engineer (NPI) is responsible for leading and managing New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept to mass production. This role oversees project planning, process and equipment readiness, cross-functional coordination, trials and validation activities to ensure new products are introduced on time, within cost, and in compliance with quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements. The position works closely with Clients, R&D, QA, Production to ensure smooth scale-up and successful commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the project engineering team to achieve site CAPEX activities in accordance with the organization's best practice, policies and procedures
• Creating and tracking the engineering development schedule and cost
• Managing project technical risks and issues
• On time delivery of different projects across the manufacturing process
• Ability to liaise with clients, vendors, contractors and external suppliers
• Communicate with cross functional team members identified for the project
• Ensure the HSE considerations are met and compliance with HACCP and GMP standards are adhered to
• Core responsibility to ensure effective execution of new product launch or introduction of new technology and or production center. It involves initiative of project planning and strategy right from development and coordination of detailed engineering design of the manufacturing processes, facility, machine selection and implementation of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Plan) till monitoring and assisting production personnel to ensure high yield, zero defects, on time delivery and overall compliances (that required by the business)
• Any other duties as assigned by immediate superior / management.

Key Requirements

• Excellent planning, organization, influencing, problem solving and prioritization skills
• Excellent project management skills.
• Experience in packaging lines, automation, utilities / facilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
• Experience in food or Nutraceutical environment would be an added advantage.
• Additional advantage for those who have experienced in food industry and familiar to GMP, HACCP, ISO9001 , FSSC 22000 & HALAL requirements.
