Overview

This role is based in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting to the Head, APAC BI and Strategic Projects, this role provides opportunity to work across a large and exciting variety of business problems and is unique in its blend of strategy combined with last-mile execution. Those in role can expect to flex their thinking, creativity, and operational muscle, while also benefitting from the opportunity to work across countries on projects of high strategic importance.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering region-wide execution of a variety of business-critical, high-impact and high-visibility growth strategies to drive commercial operations excellence. You will focus on planning and executing the program of strategic projects, ensuring the collaboration and alignment across all Asia markets. This will include:

  • Support Country Management to develop country level strategies which will significantly improve customer value and operational performance
  • Manage commercial excellence strategy and progress of initiatives, working closely with other functions to drive successful execution in the areas of:
  • sales operations optimization
  • pricing promotions / bundling
  • product value enhancements / new products / services
  • digital experience / platform / optimization
  • sales channel optimization / innovation
  • marketing strategies / campaigns
  • Work with analyst(s) to build the required datasets / analytics / reports to inform decision making and support stakeholders on root cause analysis, prioritization, forecasting and performance tracking
  • Support the COO office in driving timely reviews of deliverables, stakeholder engagement, project documentation and effective communication of actionable insights to stakeholders across all levels
  • Developing strategic long-range plans achieve strategic objectives
  • Developing frameworks/ concepts/ hypotheses and translate into actionable initiatives with clear milestones, timelines, owners
  • Own tracking of project deliverables, work to identify risks in project plan deliverables or timelines, and work to mitigate all the risks
Qualifications

You’re an agile yet structured and inspirational member who is experienced working with project management frameworks to oversee and deliver diverse programs of work.

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years of experience with a track record in driving transformative business growth, ideally in a digital business or with consulting background
  • Commercial acumen and sound decision-making – able to quickly form hypotheses and articulate convincing, insight-based, customer-centric story
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and solve project-related issues
  • Experience in performance management & reporting, project management, and strategic matters is an added advantage.
  • Possess good leadership and strong presentation and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to interact with people at all levels professionally
  • Exceptional teamwork with a willingness to perform tasks outside of role when required.
