Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars for undergraduate and postgraduate level courses based on approved curricula and syllabi.
• Harness student-centered pedagogy, digital technologies, and interactive learning methods to motivate and support diverse learners.
• Supervise and mentor students in projects, dissertations, and postgraduate research—particularly at the master’s and PhD level.

Assessment & Academic Support

• Prepare, administer, and grade assignments, tests, exams, and projects, providing timely and constructive feedback in line with university policies.
• Serve as a mentor and academic advisor, fostering students’ learning journeys and holistic development.

Scholarly Activities & Intellectual Contributions

• Advance your discipline through original research, scholarly publication, and presenting findings at conferences in Malaysia and internationally.
• Engage in knowledge transfer, innovation, consultancy, and industry-academic collaborations relevant to the business discipline.
• Participate in curriculum development, integrating cutting-edge research and professional trends.

Academic Leadership & Administration

• Contribute to programme development, course review, and compliance with Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and other accreditation standards.
• Participate actively in faculty committees, strategic planning, outreach initiatives, and student recruitment and branding activities.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collegial, supportive work culture.

Industry, Community & Professional Engagement

• Establish and develop partnerships with industry, government, and community stakeholders.
• Enhance employability and practical exposure for students through industry integration, internships, and cooperative projects.
• Represent the Faculty and University on professional bodies, advisory boards, and at public engagement events.

Professional Growth

• Commit to continuing professional development through workshops, training, certifications, academic conferences, and lifelong learning.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• PhD or DBA in the field of the position, from an internationally accredited university or business school.
• Successful first experience in teaching at the tertiary level.
• Explicit engagement in research or scholarly activities.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Track record in teaching and supervision experience at the tertiary level.
• Evidence of publications in Scopus-listed academic journals and a clear research direction.
• Demonstrated curriculum development, program leadership, or mentoring of junior staff.
• Track record in securing research grants, leading projects, and industry engagement.
