About the role

You’ll have the accountability to drive the customer strategy for a key national customer, driving and executing business growth plans as set by the Sales Leadership Team. Playing a key role in the Sales team, you will oversee the achievement of customer and channel plan.

Sales at Reckitt is challenging and rewarding career path, in which you will oversee sales forecasts and sales strategy, proposing and directing the execution of programs to maximize sales volume potential to achieve Plan.

Your responsibilities
  • Develop and manage customer relationship with buyers; contribute to customer strategy ensuring local Reckitt business objectives are achieved
  • Achieve / exceed all key sales measures and target for the national account (NR, COP, NWC and trade spend).
  • Work in close partnership with brand and trade marketing to ensure development and implementation of customer category strategy and best in class 4P execution
  • Partner with Demand Planning to ensure Customer Service levels and met / exceeded
  • Work with Trade Marketing Managers to develop plans to drive category / trade business plans; work with field sales to manage customer as key stakeholder
  • Developing promotional strategy in customers, and promotional execution (including trade budget management, range and space optimisation)
  • Managing customer negotiations in relation to Reckitt commercial strategy and customers trading terms
  • Overall Continuous improvement - identifying opportunities for efficiency and profitability and overall improvement in the management of categories
  • Leverage scan data and shopper insights to drive data-informed decision-making and strategic planning
  • Lead quarterly business reviews and annual joint business planning sessions to identify growth opportunities, align strategic objectives, and drive sustainable business development
The experience we're looking for
  • Experience with a blue chip fast moving consumer goods company of at least 5 years proven track record /Sales Experience with key international or local retailers
  • Experience of influencing and engaging key figures in customer organisations.
  • Additional functional experience, preferably in Marketing, Trade Marketing and/or Finance is an advantage
  • Educated to minimum Bachelors degree level in a commercial subject
  • Results oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivating.
  • Tenacious and resilient, driven to achieve even when faced with obstacles
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills capable of building strong working relationships and influencing and customers and internal teams.
  • Strong commercial understanding of business issues/opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral (in English) with at least one other language preferred
  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing strategy and planning issues.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to develop strategies, tactics and measurable implementation.
