Job Summary
- To maintain full set accounts and other Financial Accounting related matters inclusive of preparation of monthly management reports.
- Monitor and review the general & preliminary expenses for optimize of resources to ensure all control are adhered.
- Responsible to assist Assistant Manager / Manager in the operations of the Sales Administration and Credit Control functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial/Management Accounting
- Responsible for the day-to-day operational matters of the accounts department.
- Responsible to prepare / check the accounting, financial related documents for internal reference or Management’s verification and approval.
- Responsible to prepare / review the financial report for internal and external reference and circulation. And to ensure these are completed timely and accurately i.e. month end closing of accounts, financial and consolidation reporting.
- Assist in daily operations of ERP system transactions processing, documentation verification & clearing of accounts esp. payables.
- Responsible on preparing, checking and monitoring of all payment issued – on the compliance of internal control procedure and accounting policy
2. Operations/Banking/General Ledger/Taxation/Statutory Reporting
- Handling of banking transactions, reconciliation of bank balances, reimbursement and related matter.
- To Monitor bank balance / cash flow position and fund placement.
- Responsible for Petty Cash handling, data entry and record maintenance.
- Handling of Inter-Company transactions, verification and reconciliation of accounts.
- To Monitor / prepare the reconciliation for all balance sheet items and control accounts.
- Handling of General ledger and Fixed Asset Register maintenance.
- Liaise with Head Office, Financial Institutions, auditors, tax agent on accounting and financial related matters.
3. Sales Administration and Credit Controls
- To assist the Assistant Manager in the operations of the Sales Administration functions including monitoring the progress billings and collections, loan documentation from the receipt of the relevant stamped Sale & Purchase Agreement until delivery of vacant possession or issuance of the separate document of titles whichever is later.
- To verify with Credit Administration staff on collections of all receivables e.g. Progress billings, interest and other outgoing payments.
- Prepare, check and monitor documentation to ensure relevancy and traceability.
- To assist preparation of the Management report on time and ensure its accuracy.
- To assist to identify areas for improvement for prompt billings and collections.
- To analyze and recommend enhancement to documentation processes.
- To monitor and verify the daily operation processes to ensure compliance with the internal controls and statutory requirements.
- Understand the software usage, identify any shortcoming and suggest improvements to enhance the system.
4. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the management.
5. To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and workplace as required by the company.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or Recognised Professional Accounting.
Skills & Abilities
Good working knowledge of statutory act related to financial accounting (Accounting Standard) and financial instruments and taxation regulation.
Able to work independently.
Competent in Microsoft software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Competent in spoken & written English.
Able to work independently, proactive, confidence, initiative and good communication skills.
Expected Minimum Years of Experience
