A manufacturing firm located in Ipoh, Malaysia, is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and operational efficiency. The role requires coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with EHS standards, and managing project timelines and resources effectively. You'll conduct troubleshooting, oversee maintenance schedules, and maintain documentation while ensuring minimal downtime. Candidates should have strong technical skills and experience in facility management tasks.
Coordinate closely with consultants, subcontractors, contractors, clients, and authorities to resolve design, M&E, and facilities issues on site.
Ensure all facility and production equipment maintenance is performed according to the planned schedule.
Carry out repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance for facility electrical systems, cleanroom, and process utilities.
Perform routine 5S implementation to maintain workplace cleanliness and efficiency.
Provide technical support for operational issues and conduct root cause analysis for system failures.
Evaluate new and modified equipment based on tool specifications and system capacity studies.
Update weekly and monthly facility utilities data to Management and Finance.
Manage project planning, scheduling, manpower, materials, cost, timeline, and quality for effective execution.
Ensure full compliance with EHS procedures, regulatory requirements, Facility SOP, and Spec QCG 00005.
Liaise with local authorities (BOMBA, DOE, DOSH, Pharmacy Department) for audits, permits, and renewals.
Attend audit meetings and coordinate all site matters with contractors, consultants, customers, and authorities.
Handle machine periodic maintenance, troubleshooting, and breakdown repair with same-day rectification whenever possible.
Assist in machine improvement activities with Supervisors and Production Engineers.
Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize major equipment failures.
Identify, monitor, and order critical spare parts to ensure minimum downtime.
Control and supervise technicians’ work quality and site workmanship.
Prepare daily reports, project documentation, and facilities updates for meetings and records.
Raise and manage RFQ, eQR, ePR, MER, and CER requests including cost evaluation.
Perform invoice and billing reconciliation related to facility works.
Support urgent projects and work extended hours when required.
Perform site inspections, identify defects, and provide corrective action feedback to Facilities Manager.
Carry out any other duties assigned by superior from time to time for operational support.
