A recruitment agency in Johor, Malaysia is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage financial schedules and oversee bookkeeping tasks. The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Accounting, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in the construction field. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential for communication with clients. Prepare and maintain monthly schedules for balance sheet items (e.g., Prepayments, Accruals, Loans).
Verify Escrow accounts and invoices for accuracy.
Oversee subordinates’ bookkeeping and daily tasks.
Handle payments to subcontractors, vendors, and staff claims.
Allocate expenses to the correct cost centers.
Verify labor and subcontractor claims.
Prepare financial statements, audit accounts, and liaise with auditors and tax agents.
Update monthly project status and payments.
Perform other related duties as needed.
Diploma/Degree in Accounting
Minimum 3 years experience within the construction field and familiar with ERP system.
Experience in leading junior/assistance level
Proficiency in Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing) is necessary for interactions with Mandarin-speaking principals.
Flexi working hours, can clock in between 7am-9.30am
