About the Role

We are looking for a Section Head - Autoline to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of production and to ensure the efficient and smooth functioning of the production line.

What you’ll be doing

• Monitor and manage day-to-day production activities and operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Oversee the training and development of production staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate in a smart factory environment.
• Monitor production output and quality standards to ensure compliance with set guidelines and promptly address any deviations.
• Supervise all production lines for a smooth production operation.
• Coordinate and plan production schedules to achieve production orders.
• Utilize smart factory tools and data analytics to monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate actions.
• Implement advanced manufacturing technologies and automation solutions to optimize production processes and increase efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations throughout production operation and promote a safe working environment.
• Primary responsibility is to operate the Auto Line robot sorting machine, in addition to supervising other nesting machines, edge banding machines and CNC boring machines. To ensure correct work instructions, procedures and parameter setting are followed. Troubleshoot errors and reduce machine down time.
• Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time by superiors or management, including duties that may be transferred within departments or locations due to corporate reorganization.
• To work on shift rotation or extended time as and when necessary to support the production operation.

What We're Looking For

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in manufacturing industry, production, or a related field.
• Able to communicate fluently in English and Malay. Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize production processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives, if necessary.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in production operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
