A leading retail company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Operations Manager to drive excellence in daily store operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in retail management, strong leadership qualities, and the ability to analyze operational performance through KPIs. Daily Operations Leadership - Conduct daily check-ins with area managers, monitor real-time sales performance through POS systems, and swiftly address critical issues like supply chain delays or staffing challenges to ensure seamless store operations
Cross-Department Collaboration - Work closely with IT, HR, Marketing, Finance, and Merchandising teams to resolve technical issues, manage staffing needs, coordinate promotions, and ensure optimal stock levels across all locations
Customer Experience Excellence - Review and resolve customer complaints, conduct quality spot-checks on store cleanliness and staff performance, and implement corrective actions to maintain high service standards
Strategic Performance Analysis - Lead weekly operations meetings to review KPIs including sales targets, labor costs, and inventory management while identifying trends and opportunities for operational improvements
Compliance and Risk Management - Ensure all outlets meet health and safety regulations, conduct regular audits, and implement loss prevention strategies to minimize shrinkage and maintain operational standards
Process Optimization - Develop and update standard operating procedures, identify automation opportunities, and implement efficiency improvements to enhance overall operational effectiveness
Operations Management Experience - Proven track record in retail operations management, preferably 2 years or more in supermarket or grocery retail environments with multi‑location oversight responsibilities
Leadership and Communication Skills - Strong ability to lead cross‑functional teams, conduct effective meetings, and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels including senior management
Analytical and Problem‑Solving Abilities - Experience with KPI analysis, sales reporting, and data‑driven decision making to identify trends and implement strategic improvements
Retail Technology Proficiency - Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management software, and retail analytics tools to monitor performance and resolve technical issues
Regulatory Knowledge - Understanding of health and safety regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management practices relevant to retail operations
Strategic Planning Capabilities - Experience in budget management, supplier negotiations, and long‑term strategic planning to drive business growth and operational efficiency
