A local retail store in Changlun is seeking a dedicated individual to assist customers with building materials, paint, and hardware items. Responsibilities include greeting customers, handling paint mixing, and ensuring the shop's organization. Ideal candidates should have at least an SPM qualification and experience in retail. Strong communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English, alongside a proactive and customer-oriented attitude, is essential for this role. A willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, is required.
Greet and assist walk-in customers in selecting building materials, cement, paint, and hardware items.
Provide product information, pricing, and recommendations to customers.
Handle paint mixing process using the tinting machine according to customer colour codes and specifications.
Ensure the shop is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
Assist in unloading, arranging, labelling, and displaying stock.
Record sales and update daily stock movement manually or in record books.
Support stock-taking and inventory control activities.
Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams for customer orders.
Perform any other ad hoc duties assigned by the Retail Supervisor or Manager.
Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.
Experience in retail, paint mixing, hardware, or building material industry is an added advantage.
Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English

A proactive team player who able to work under pressure, work independently with minimum supervision.
Able to work 6 days per week and willing to work shift, including weekends or public holidays (off-day on rotation).
Commission will be paid to employees who meet or exceed their assigned sales targets.
