We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts within the assigned Region distribution channel. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for achieving and exceeding sales targets, driving market share growth, and building strong, lasting relationships with key distributors and customers. You will lead, mentor, and develop a team of Area Sales Managers and Sales Representatives, executing strategic sales plans to optimize sales performance and ensure sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to meet and surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual volume and value targets.
- Monitor daily/weekly sales performance against goals, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure the achievement of secondary sales targets from distributors to retailers.
- Lead the effective rollout of new product launches and promotional campaigns within the region.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with key customers, including retailers, wholesalers, and modern trade chains, to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conduct regular field visits with the sales team to coach on journey planning, claim settlement, and merchandising fundamentals.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key customers to assess performance, ROI, and infrastructure.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities for growth.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with key accounts to maximize profitability.
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment and the prompt resolution of customer issues.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to senior management.
- Manage regional sales budgets and expenses, monitoring performance against financial plans.
- Provide strong leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the regional sales team.
- Set clear KPIs, conduct regular performance reviews, and foster a high-performance culture.
- Promote a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and high team morale.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing and Business or a related field. Significant relevant working experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
- Minimum 8‑10 years of overall sales operations experience within the FMCG Distribution Industry.
- At least 5 years in a managerial role, with a demonstrated history of leading and developing high‑performing sales teams.
