Qualifications

  • Knowledge of quality documentation such as FAI, PPAP, and SPC is an advantage.

Join a Leading Multinational Precision Metal Stamping Company in Malacca!

We are seeking experienced and highly skilled professionals to lead and oversee the daily operations of our state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing plant in Malacca. This role calls for a detail‑oriented and analytical leader with strong communication and management skills to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will collaborate across departments, providing valuable insights, guidance, and strategic support to drive operational excellence and achieve business goals in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Your Role in Our Team
1\. Inspection and Quality Control
  • Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspections for metal stamping parts and assemblies.
  • Verify parts against engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional checks using precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and profile projectors.
  • Operate and perform measurements using CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to ensure part conformance.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate inspection records in accordance with QA procedures.
2\. Quality System & Documentation
  • Prepare and update inspection reports, FAI (First Article Inspection), and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documents.
  • Support quality audits and calibration programs for measurement instruments and gauges.
  • Maintain traceability of inspected components and ensure proper labeling and segregation of non‑conforming parts.
3\. Problem Solving & Improvement
  • Assist in identifying and analyzing quality issues and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and QA teams to implement corrective actions and improve process capability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
4\. Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure all QA activities comply with ISO 9001 and customer‑specific quality standards.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized working environment.
Who We’re Looking For
Education
  • Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control, or equivalent.
Experience
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in quality assurance/inspection in the metal stamping or related manufacturing industry.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in using CMM and other precision measuring tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
  • Knowledge of quality documentation such as FAI, PPAP, and SPC is an advantage.
Soft Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
